2008: I've got a story in this book -
No Such Thing as a Free Ride?: A Collection of Hitchhiking Tales,
North American Edition - it's a collection of hitch hiker's
tales - mine is about hitch-hiking around Zimbabwe with Science
Fiction writer China Mieville before he was famous (in fact I changed
his name to "Sam" in the story). "Filmmakers, politicians,
stand-up comedians, poets, journalists, and carpenters all come
together through the shared experience of hitching a ride..."
Very sadly it seems the worldsurface.com website
is no longer online. All the diaries written on it are on some databse
somewhere, proably lost in the post as seems to be the case with
most databases and this country.
However, I now have wordpress.
Here is my diary of the 2008 cycle tour of the Netherlands,
Germany and Lithuania.
